After the tour-de-force with Black Adam, this weekly comic book slows down. We see Batman meditating in Nanda Parbat, Steel starting up a new business, Animal Man getting his heart-broken and Doc Magnus wrestling with his mental problems. In other words, this is mainly a transitional issue with no single plotline getting the bulk of the attention. There is something on the Crime Bible and the need to sacrifice Batwoman to make some prophecy come true but this part isn't particularly gripping. Perhaps because the creative team still hasn't given us a reason to care about this new Batwoman-- regardless of her sexual orientation. The art is serviceable but isn't particularly memorable. For a back-up, there is also an origin story for the Teen Titans that looks like it was thrown together in eight minutes. Generally, this issue is a disappointment. Perhaps Black Adam and his family were only source of excitement on this book. Without him, it gets two out of five stars.
