Batgirl wakes up after being knocked out by a mix-martial artist in Singapore. But hitting her head hard helped her figure out the case she was investigating and the mysterious connection her friend Kai has with the mysterious mix fighter trying to kill him. Will she solve the case or fall into another trap?

This comic was fun and saw the return of the comic thought bubble as opposed to narrations. This is good. It made the action and the story feel in the present time, and allowed readers to discover along with batgirl what is going on. I truly miss thought bubbles in comics and am glad that Hope Larson is not ashamed of using them.

Rafael Albuquerque continues his fun work on Batgirl. His faces are not always pretty but his staging and action scenes continue to rock. But making Batgirl look plain and not so pretty reinforces the girl-next-door look that this comic is going for. It just looks funny in a way that she is so plain looking as opposed the idealized renderings of the character, even when she was oracle. She looks like a brat and much
