This special event is sure to be a holiday treat for comic book lovers everywhere! Featuring the best comic book and collectible dealers from around New England who will be bringing with them hard to find comics, collectibles, action figures and more! From the hard to find gems of yesterday to the hottest comics and collectibles of today attendees will find it all at the Granite State Comicon! For those non-collectors with a collector in their life this is the perfect place to find that special holiday gift!
The Granite State Comicon is also proud to host an Artist’s Alley featuring local and national comic book creators. Guest of Honor artist Ethan Van Sciver is returning to New England after a highly successful appearance at Wizard World Boston where he had fans lined up for hours. Ethan is the artist of DC Comic’s highly successful Green Lantern: Rebirth mini-series as well as Marvel’s New X-Men, Ethan’s next project is DC’s Superman/Batman. Other guests appearing at the Granite State Comicon include: Jamal Igle (DC’s Firestorm), Matthew Clark (Adventures of Superman, Outsiders), Mitchell Breitweiser (Marvel’s Drax the Destroyer), Brian Wood (Vertgo’s DMZ and creator of the hit independent series Demo) and Sean Murphy (Batman/Scarecrow, Offroad).
Attendees can also participate in one of the many gaming tournaments held throughout the day. Games include: Magic the Gathering, Marvel/DC Vs. and Hero Clix. Game lovers will also have the opportunity to learn how to play Mystical Empires the hot new collectible card game produced by NH’s very own Northeast Games!
Everyone that enters the Granite State Comicon is automatically entered in a series of raffles that will occur every half hour! Prizes include signed and limited edition comics, gift certificates, movie passes and more. Plus everyone that enters will be able to walk away with free goodies courtesy of DC Comics, Image Comics, Viz and others!
The Granite State Comicon will be held at the Center of New Hampshire Radisson, 700 Elm Street in downtown Manchester. The doors open at 10am and the fun continues right up until 3pm. Tickets are just $4 each with $1 off coupons available at participating comic book specialty stores. Kids under 10 get in FREE.
