Tokyopop summons manga fans to civil service with the January 2006 release of Juror 13. Juror 13, the latest trial from D.J. Milky, the ultra-cool creator of BookScan's #1 bestseller Princess Ai, and Makoto Nakatsuka, artist for X-Men: Ronan (Marvel's Mangaverse) and the upcoming Star Wars manga, presents the case of a psychological thriller dripping with the suspense of Hitchcock and the paranoia of Kafka.
According to D.J. Milky, "This is a story that started haunting me a few years back when I received a jury summons with instructions to call a mysterious recorded message. The eeriness of it all wouldn't go away, and I'm glad a talented artist like Nakatsuka-sensei was able to bring that feeling to life."
Tokyopop editor Rob Valois remarks, "In Juror 13, D.J. Milky has been able to examine the more mature and sophisticated themes that we'd only seen him touch on in previous works. What he's created here is a timeless story that's both enjoyable and thoroughly chilling."
Care to reach an early verdict? A manga preview of Juror 13 will appear in the fall edition of the print version of Manga, TOKYOPOP's free magazine that's packed with manga previews, behind-the-scenes with the creators, exclusive interviews, and much, much more.
