To celebrate the 4th anniversary of her web comics, Silent Devil is pleased to announce that Jennie Breeden's strip The Devil's Panties will be collected into graphic novel editions starting in February 2006. Breeden's semi-autobiographical tales of clubbing, dating, religion (and the occasional appearance of pirates), has garnered fans from around the world.
"When we started making our plans for next year it was decided that Silent Devil had to expand into other fields," says Silent Devil's Editor-in-Chief Christian Beranek. "While we knew were doing well with titles such as Dracula vs. King Arthur and Runes of Ragnan, it was apparent that we wanted to explore other genres and ways of telling stories. Enter The Devil's Panties. After I read the web comic I was floored by the amount of energy and power behind the tales. With her cartooning, Jennie Breeden captures elements of life in the purest way, and we are all very excited that fans will be able to check out her work in comic book form."
Breeden's loyal following will not only be able to read their favorite web comic in collected editions, but they will also be treated to re-mastered strips and other features. Silent Devil has brought on board editors Lauren Perry and A. David Lewis to oversee the project.
