New Mutants #09

A favourite returns, but this issue is about more than that. The ramifications of Victor’s actions are felt. And some learn that to act without a plan or full knowledge could be worse than doing nothing at all.

Things really started off fast and in style. Bad guy gets taken out, but who's the mysterious girl who's come back to town? This doesn't seem to be the only impact she's going to have either, as her presence is more than welcome to some, but someone else at Xavier's isn't too happy how when she finally makes a move, its suddenly overshadowed. Ms Electric could at last be on the brink of finding some sort of help. But have the Brady Bunch jumped the gun!

The pencils seem a little more grounded this issue. The over pronunciation is still there, (but that's fine as it seems part of the aseptic feel) but it’s not so prominent. The opening panels not only tease and add wonderment to the build up, but they also give off an air of fun, which is spread throughout the book. The cover is a bit of a disappointment though. The background is nicely done, but Dani (I'm assuming it’s her) looks static and out of place.
