Who remembers The Great Escape, the classic Steve McQueen flick? Well if you do and loved it, this is definitely for you. If you haven't seen it never fear cause this book is edge of your seat business and if picked up, it'll hook you no matter what. Like the rest of the CrossGenbooks, you don't need to pick up any of the others to get this (even though it's nice to see little things come together), so you have no excuses.

At the beginning of his run Bedardwas a little inconsistent, but with his recent issues he has really stepped up his game! This issue is no exception. Within this story is a message, you might not see it until the realisation at the end, but when you do, you'll understand what a great job Bedardhas done. "With Great Power comes Great Responsibility" comes to mind. The ending as well, leaves you thinking damn, what's the deal, I need the next issue!

To start with the art is nice, but the people seem to have a kind of shinny sheen to their skin which looks odd. When we get the darker scenes however, the art is at its best. The action scenes do seem a little scrappy and muddled, but for the most part everything is fine until the page near the end which shows the planets operations room. This looks super imposed and garish. Which is a shame on the overall effect of the book.
