Writer(s): Brian k. Vaughan
Penciller(s): Brandon Peterson
Cover Artist(s): Brandon Peterson

New storyline! New creative team! An Ultimatised version of one of the X-Men's greatest adversaries rears his scary head.
The transition from Bendis to Vaughan is so smooth; it could have been a Marvin Gaye single. We still got that distinct Vaughan feel to the book however and it's clear he both respects the characters and understands continuity, "Oh my god, this….this is Corsair". The effects of Beast's death are still apparent and it's interesting who everyone's coping. Great ending too, the Sinister shadow on the horizon is definitely a different look from the one cats know.
Brandon Peterson is such a talented artist and it's great to see him in the Ultimate Universe. His grasp of the characters was a joy to witness. His proportions were all spot on and he managed to capture the essence of each characters personalities. His effect of speed at the beginning was pretty good. And Storm, damn I know she's hurting right now, but she still looks (thanks to Brandon) sexy as hell.
