Arcana’s Year of the Black Sun!
Arcana Studio’s most popular character,
Ezra, returns in an all-new mini-series this May. The warrior born under the
Black Sun is in for a busy year and Arcana Studio EIC, Sean O’Reilly, has made
sure it’s an event comic readers will remember.
The new mini-series is only the tip of the
iceberg for the ivory skinned warrior. To coincide with the release of Ezra:
Evoked Emotions, Arcana has a full-slate of Ezra related happenings. There’s
Ezra vs. 10th Muse, Free Comic Book Day, and the Epic Ezra Model
Search. For the model search, Arcana Studio is looking for a real life, living,
breathing Ezra to grace the cover of their comic!
Ezra was created by Sean O’Reilly in 2004.
Back then Arcana Studio was a one man operation, but thanks to popular
characters like Ezra the studio is now Canada’s biggest comic book publisher.
O’Reilly recently won The Shuster Award for Outstanding Publisher, as voted on
by retailers and readers. Arcana’s titles have consistently come in the top 5 independent
books in the industry with Ezra continuing to be the company’s most popular
character.
In the new series, Ezra: Evoked Emotions,
the death of her brother and the realization that she is much more than human,
has scarred Ezra deeper than the ones she wears on her skin. Normally Ezra is
the rogue mercenary for hire, but she has just embarked on a quest that becomes
a personal mission to exorcise the demons in her closet from a long, long, time
ago…
Ezra: Evoked Emotions #1 by Sean O’Reilly
and Alfonso Ruiz, 32 pgs, FC… $3.95 coming this summer to a comic shop near
you!
