Outerverse Productions, an Independent Comic Book Publisher, helps support the Wireless AMBER Alert Program.
Outerverse Productions, an independent publisher of comic books, has announced their support for the Wireless AMBER Alerts Program by donating a full page ad in each issue of their 4 issue mini series, RIFTOR: The True Warrior.
Phillip E. Hardy Jr., President and Publisher said: “We have donated the outside, back page of each issue in our 4 issue series of RIFTOR: The True Warrior, in an effort to support this important program.” Outerverse Productions is the only Independent Comic Book publisher to feature a Wireless AMBER Alert ad. The first ad appeared in their Limited Edition Premiere issue, released in June 2007, which featured the “Merry-Go-Round” ad provided by the Ad Council. The official release of RIFTOR: The True Warrior Issue # 1 released in February and Issue # 2 released in March, features the “X-Ray” ad. “Comic book fans of all ages will see the ad. My hope is to bring awareness to this program and perhaps save a child.” Phil said.
The story of Riftor originates with the character being kidnapped as an infant. “Although Riftor is of course a science fiction comic book, I felt that the story ties into the Wireless AMBER Alerts Program in that readers could see the importance of being proactive in preventing any form of exploitation of children,” stated Phillip Hardy.
