The League Joins Xbox 360

Midway Games Inc., announced that it has shipped Blitz: The League for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Bill Romanowski, a 4-time Super Bowl champion and arguably one of the most feared linebackers to play the game, joins Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor as co-cover athlete of Blitz: The League for the Xbox 360 which delivers a host of new features, including new cities, All-Star teams, and achievement points.

“With over a million games sold on current generation systems, Blitz: The League proved to the industry that fans desire an alternative in the licensor censored, watered-down sports genre,” said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway. “We’re excited to now offer that alternative title on the Xbox 360, complete with the award-winning quality of gameplay and entertainment Blitz: The League is recognized as having.”

Midway’s Blitz: The League Overtime for the PSPis expected to ship in December 2006. Blitz: The League is currently also available for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft.
