NEW YORK, NY (March 09, 2007)
Fangoria.TV, the 24/7 premier horror destination on the Web and the online home of the renowned monthly horror publication FANGORIA magazine, will premiere THE PERILS OF DR. SHROUD, an original, flash animated serial on its online program site, http://www.fangoriatv.com beginning Friday, March 9 and continuing until Thursday, April 12.
THE PERILS OF DR. SHROUD, is a retro-horror animated serial, written, developed and created by award-winning indie animator Robert Feldman.
Inspired by Hollywood's melodramatic, action-laden serials of the 1940s, THE PERILS OF DR. SHROUD, tells the tales of a troubled plastic surgeon who must battle evil ghosts, demons and vampires as he searches for his missing daughter, Wendy.
"I am thrilled to program the Dr. Shroud episodes on Fangoria.tv,“ said Marla Newborn head of scheduling for the web-based network. "As soon as our President Tom DeFeo introduced me to the series, I was reminded of the animated heroes from my childhood.“
Kicking off the serial is the multiple-chapter, spine tingler "La Maudite,“ followed by "Alley of the Dolls,“ and later by "The Boy in the Box.“
Each week, FANGORIA.TV will present two to three episodes of a DR SHROUD adventure running between five to eight minutes each, featuring eye-catching graphics, compelling characters and riveting storylines.
