In Call of Duty you take the role of American, British and Russian soldiers each in different campaigns. The game uses the Quake 3 engine and really runs well on most decent systems and looks good too. Saying this game is intense is an understatement because It has some of the most exciting action sequences I've ever experienced and it's sound design is as good as it get's (you'll realize this in the Russians first campaign).
The game is of average length for a first person shooter, about 10-12 hours and offers multiplayer when your done with the single player, the servers are still pretty healthy even after a few years of being on the market.
