Kenneth Branagh the acclaimed director and Shakespearen actor is already confirmed as having taken on the mantel of director for the Thor Movie due sometime in 2011. He will be working with, Brian Blessed (Odin), Christopher Helmsworth (Thor, and recently of Star trek) Tom Hiddlestone (Loki) and few a other actors rumoured to be appearing in the motion picture (S. Jackson, anyone?)

Signed on to play Thor's mortal (Dr Donald Blake) love interest is none other than Natalie Portman, adding some more weight of an already promising and impressive looking cast. Portman will play Jane Foster, and will play her as a scientist rather than the nurse that comic book readers will be used to seeing the character being. Jessica Biel meanwhile is rumoured to play Thor's wife, the goddess Sif.

I can't deny that I'm very interested in seeing this one, I'd like to see what the group involved brings to this.

Would anybody like to share their views on the casting so far?
