On June 10th, Chuck Dixon announced on his message board that “I am no longer employed by DC Comics in any capacity”.  Currently, Dixon is

responsible for revitalizing the “Robin” series along with being the writer on “Batman and the Outsiders”.

Right now, it is known that Dixon will be the writer on “Robin” through issue #177 in August, but is currently unclear what will be happening after that. On “Batman and the Outsiders”, it seems as if Dixon will go through issue #10 in August. For issues #11, and #12, Frank Tieri will take over writing responsibilities. Those issues should cover the first two parts of the Batman R.I.P arc that is taking place in “Outsiders”, but right now is unknown who will be scripting issue #13.

Earlier this year, DC announced that Dixon would be writing two issues of "Booster Gold”. In response to a fans post on his message board, Dixon said that “I'm still on those two issues”.

So far DC has not made a statement about Dixon’s departure. Beyond speculation all that is known right now is that Dixon said “Not everyone at DC is a bastard”.
