COVER: Jock

This is the second part of a two-chapter story of Batman and Catwoman on the trail of a gang of white slavers. Unlike earlier "LEGENDS.." story-arcs, this one is set in modern continuity where Catwoman and Batman are allies. Frankly, this is an example of why the new format of "LEGENDS..." doesn't work. There is nothing special about this story at all. It could have just as easily been another typical issue of BATMAN or CATWOMAN or even just a filler. The big gimmick is that Catwoman is working with Matches Malone without knowing he is really Batman. But Grayson fails to use this device well, so all we see are Selina and Matches trading insults and occasional blows. The art looks almost static with messy transitions between panels. LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT used to be a prestige title with special stories of the Batman. Now, it is just a sad companion title to the rest of the bloated Bat-family.
