Koni
Waves is about a young woman named Koni Kanawai. Koni is a cute
Hawaiian girl who always seems to end up in bad situations.
As I started reading through this comic book I realized it was targeted for a male audience due to the mass amount of sex appeal in it. I also felt that this black and white comic should be in color, perhaps that would draw in more people to read this book.
Spoiler
Warning! (To read spoiler, click and drag over the black area)
The
story starts off with a brief introduction about our main heroine so
to speak. She basically gets sexually harassed and almost assaulted
in the first 8 pages. Then she is drugged and captured by a perverted
drunken rich guy who plans to sacrifice her to his apparent deity
“Puea”. Puea is a wooden totem creature that stands about 8 feet
tall. He’s hungry for some Hawaiian meat so he and his thugs run
after Koni only to get their butt’s kicked by her as she continues
running from them. It's kind of funny to see the action, very
entertaining.
This
comic is part comedy and part action. I found it very entertaining
and if Mark Pulton throws good male lead that would draw in some
female fans. I look forward to reading another one!
