This issue marks the start of a new story-arc and while it doesn't contain anything new, Simone mixes the elements of the story quite well to come up with something fresh. A petty dictator is forced into exile by the JLA so he convinces other world leaders that the League could do the same to them unless they throw in with his plan to create a new League-buster, called "the Hypothetical Woman." The story does take some time to get moving but the strong characterization of the villain and the great art makes it easier to sit still until the main threat is revealed. Flash's over-the-top emoting is a bit overdone but the rest of the League are looking good. Hopefully, the rest of this story will be as good as the first part.
