Hawkman # 46
DC Comics
WRITER: Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray
ARTISTS: Ron Randall, Art Thibert, Walden Wong
COVER: Adam Kubert

This issue tries to tie up the loose ends left from the last story arc while setting the Hawks up for the Rann-Thanagar miniseries. It is nice to see that the writers are careful to fill in all the blanks but the general tone of the issue is that it is just another filler for the big INFINITE CRISIS event. Still, Hawkman and Hawkgirl are looking very formidable and it is a relief to see heroes who are more concerned with action than talking about their feelings. The art is quite good, considering the circumstances. This issue also marks the debut of Adam Kubert as the new cover artist. It is a treat to see a Kubert doing Hawkman again but it will need more than cool covers to impress people. Maybe some Kubert interiors as well?
