Deathstroke comes after Green Arrow but Ollie has his own trap set for the 'stroke: one which Wile E. Coyote would envy. The plot is totally unbelievable and the internal monologue, depicted in the narration boxes, just leaves old Slade looking like an amateur. But there is a good fight scene that the art team depicts with a sense of movement and power, making Green Arrow look more impressive than he has appeared in months. There is an odd part with Green Arrow choosing to engage Slade with a sword rather than his trademark weapon. Frankly, Winick may do good action scenes but he hasn't done a good job of depicting archery in combat so the minimal use of arrows in this issue may have even helped the story. Considering the ham-fisted way Winick has handled Ollie's role as mayor of Star City, perhaps this is an indication that Green Arrow isn't really the character Winick should be working on.
