It's official folks. The news came out this weekend and we have confirmation straight from the mouths of Nintendo's promotional reps from the Fan Expo floor. There is going to be a major event for the Wii held on Sept. 14th. Unfortunately for me, the North American one is going to be held in the U.S., which means I won't be able to attend. However, we may have some aces hidden up our sleeves, so if there are any changes to our event coverage schedule, we'll be sure to update you.
For now, the reps aren't admitting to much else when it comes to information on the Wii, so here's what I can tell you about the upcoming event so far. There will be an event held to promote the Wii on Sept. 14th. This event will be held (confirmed so far) in North America and Japan, and is open to people by invitation only, so if you don't have one you're out of luck. The word that's been going around concerning what the event will be about is that the release date and retail price of the Wii will be announced. It is also highly likely that there will be more news about games that will be available, both at launch time and later on.
We'll be making sure to bring you the news of the price and release date details as soon as we can, so be sure to check back with us. There's also more post-Fan Expo coverage to come, so stick around.
