IDG
World Expo announced its newest event today, and it sounds a lot like
E3. The first Entertainment for All Expo or E for All Expo is
scheduled for October 18th to 20th of this year
and will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the same venue
E3 was held.
E for All Expo
will offer consumers the opportunity to test-drive the latest
in games and gadgetry, as well as purchase products they enjoyed over
the course of the 3-day event at on-site retail facilities.
Additional attractions are in the works, including high-profile video
game tournaments; job fair/networking opportunities; family-friendly
offerings; and the acclaimed Video Games Live concert. The Expo will
also take advantage of soon-to-be-expanded LA Live area adjoining the
LA Convention Center and Staples Center. The event has also been
endorsed by the ESA, which runs E3. So why do we keep mentioning E3?
It's because the event sounds very similar to what E3 was before the
changes were made after this past year's event. It looks like the IDG
saw the new gap in consumer video game events and found a way to fill
it. To find out more information on the event, you can go to
www.eforallexpo.com and
fill out the mailing list form to stay up to date. Currently, there
is no information on what exhibitors will be there or what the cost
of tickets will be. We'll have updates on that as they become
available to us.
