Echo’s From Da Void!?!

So the deal is this, at the beginning of each month I’m gonna throw something at ya. OK, well now it’s your chance to voice your views. All you have to do is drop me an e-mail. And for the rest of the month we’ll be having a nice little discussion. You wont be edited, it’s all you, but play nice!

Chapter 3.1

Easy Cats

As I've always said new topics can spawn from other ones and this whole subject came to me while dealing with Women In Comics. So the new subject we'll be politicing for the next few weeks is;

Change Clothes

You may be wondering what messed up subject is K Boogie dealing with here. Calm yourselves, it's all good. This isn't a cross dressing thread or anything like that. I thought we could discus the state of play regarding characters costumes/uniforms.

So let's break this down. One thing I said last time was;

The other thing that has always bugged me is that virtually every woman in comics has a phobia to clothes…..

So, I'm sure some of you have read certain issues and wondered how some of these women don't

(a) Compromise their innocence

I mean, can you really tell me that certain body parts aren't going to be falling out while punches & kicks are being thrown?

(b) Freeze their arses off

Come on now, they have so much flesh showing, there wouldn't be any point doing a Playboy spread lol

These uniforms are just down right impracticable. You can't fight crime if your sole aim is to look fine (damn, that's fly. I'm going to copyright that :) ). Don't even sweat it though ladies, because the guys are just as much in this mix as you. Just look at what some of them are prancing around in. Hercules wears a nappy with braces, hello! Luke Cage was running round in a dayglow yellow shirt and tiara. Most of these cats are seriously looking like drag queens out there (no offence to any drag queens who are reading this lol).

And also, has anyone not noticed that virtually no one ever kicks it in their own cribs in just regular threads. They're always wearing their costumes/uniforms. And to be honest, I've never seen anyone wash theirs. So damn, these cats must stinking up the place.

And Now!

So basically, I'm opening this up to all you cats. Let me know your views on Change Clothes. Would you like to see more practical get ups or is everything gravy with you? Do you think a characters costumes/uniform could vary to suite a situation (weather, etc)? And what's just your general view of costumes/uniforms in comics right now?

Any other points I've missed or you'd like to make feel free :)

Koncise an out :)
