The really interesting thing about this story is the fact that we get to see and events of issue #3 brought back to our attentions. This shows that Busiek is really thinking out his stories and the way Conan reacts is more inline with reality. A bitter taste is hard to shift. At times the whole Hyperborea saga seemed to drag a little, but this was a good way to resolve things. The introduction of Janissa: Widowmaker, was handled really well too.
As soon as you open up this issue you're immersed by the beauty. Dave Stewart does a magnificent job of conveying the colours snow and wind. From here Nord continues to wow with his slick pencils. The way the flashbacks are interspersed in the story is perfect for setting the mood. And then the way the panelling is, you can see the significance of it.
