Information is sketchy at this point but in reaction to Diamond Comics culling of comic book publishers with low print runs, several parties, including Comics Craft, Lulu and Digital Webbing are organizing a week to encourage self publishing. More information to follow.

Just to clarify, the Indy Comic Book Week event is being organized by the independent creator community, and though Lulu and such organizations are supporting us, it is entirely an independent creator invention and is operated by several indy comic book creators (including myself) in Dallas.

Also, Indy Comic Book Week is a response to Diamond's "no-ship week" in late December, not to their cuts of independent books with low order counts. We're simply organizing the indy community to put books on shelves during a week when no large publisher books will b present.
