The Birds of Prey come to Savant’s aid, but fall into a trap filled with super villains. Although they barge in and find Savant, their fate is not certain, as Deathstroke awaits, ready to take a shot at them. Elsewhere, Barbara finally reveals all to her father, former Commissioner Jim Gordon, only to have Batman spoil their reunion.

One thing that I like about this issue, is the way villains and regular criminals are distinguished. Villains are dangerous and taking them on, may mean death. I also like how the heroes take responsibility when their mission goes awry. This unit is quite professional. The double cliffhanger is cool and makes me want to find out quickly how the story will end. The intensity is back with the Birds and it’s about time.

The team of Siqueira and Riggs gives a softer look to the characters which is pleasant. One thing about this series that is enjoyable is that although there are guess artists every second issues, the flow of the stories and the look of the characters remains consistent. If all series were like this. I guess the editor must take credit for that one. Great job Miss Joan Hilty.
