The team begins to come together in the second issue of Young Justice.

Wonder Girl gets most of the spotlight in this story, meeting Jinny Hex, having a strange encounter with Zeus, and being mistaken for Zatanna before running into Robin.

And the mysteries just keep coming. I doubt there is anything deeper to having someone think Cassie Sandsmark is Zatanna, but there is a reference to a team, the New Outsiders, that has never existed in any comic. Zeus seems benevolent in his scene with Wonder Girl, but she doesn’t trust him, and neither do I.

The only thing about this issue that is disappointing is that it doesn’t pick up on the Conner Kent Superboy plot thread, teased at the end of the first issue. But I am not genuinely complaining about that. Good to have some plot threads up the air.

And right now there is just so much going on, it’s inevitable that some things are going to get shoved to the side. What’s surprising is that the book is only on its second issue, and jammed with story arcs.

We need to find out what has been going on with all these different heroes, and learn more about Jinny Hex. Not to mention the whole Gemworld element.

But again, I am not complaining. The first two issues have unfolded really well, with interesting twists, some good moments of humour, and excellent art to carry it all.
