We're back for another week of Video Game Bits. With E3 now behind us, all we've got to look forward to for the next little while is BlizzCon 2007, in August, and the E for All Expo, in October. Unless, that is, we've forgotten something. Something like the game releases that will keep us busy for hours and days on end. It's not too long until Mario Strikers Charged, Boogie or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption are out for Wii,. Or, if you've got an Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3, you're probably waiting for Stranglehold or Medal of Honor: Airborne. We've all got something to look forward to between shows. Either way, in the end, it's all about the games. So let's get to today's Video Game Bits.

Namco
Networks, a subsidiary of Namce which develops and publishes wireless
games and network content, and casual game
developer/publisher/distributor, Big Fish Games announced a
partnership today, which will bring Big Fish's online games to the
mobile platform across North America for the first time. The first
game to release under the new partnership will be Atlantis Sky
Patrol, a casual puzzle game in which players must knock out doomsday
devices by shooting and matching chains of coloured marbles, which
run on a track,.before the chain reaches the detonation core of the
device and causes it to explode. In order to destroy the device and
get the next level, players have to first destroy the static marbles
that constantly regenerate in the moving chains. Atlantis Sky Patrol
is currently expected to be released for North American wireless
carriers this winter. No other games have been mentioned as part of
the partnership at this time.

As
we said, if we missed any news from E3, we'd catch it later, so here
we are. At E3 last week, Disney announced a new way that Nintendo DS
users who play Disney games will be able to connect to each other
worldwide through a new feature it calls DGamer. DGamer will provide
a connected game community for Disney video game users to interact
with each other, customize and share things between their Nintendo
Dss, as well as on computers via the new Disney.co
m
web site. DGamer will use the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection to allow
players to interact and chat with each other, whether they are in the
same room or on the other side of the world.
DGamer
players will be able to create a customized personal avatar, make new
friends, chat with friends, view friends’ high scores and vote in
polls. All of these features will be integrated into the DGamer
Channel on Disney.com. DGamer will be included with Disney
Interactive Studios' Nintendo DS games starting next year, including
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, Spectrobes II and Hannah
Montana 3. Currently, DGamer is set to launch in North America in May
2008 and in international territories at a later, currently
unannounced, time.
