Comics
Dynamite Comics has announced a resurgence of Jack Kirby's
Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers. Joe Casey will write the project with a rotating cast of artists. More at

The monthly Gendercrunching report is out. Despite criticisms during their expo, Image has seen a rise of 2.2% in credited female creators. More at

Valiant has announced their next major event will have the publisher first major death since coming back in 2011. The death will come in an upcoming three-part story starting in

Film
Marvel has announced an animated movie called
Marvel's Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher. The film will be released March 25, 2014 and stars Jennifer Carpenter and Brian Bloom as the titular characters. More (including trailer) at

The after credits scene for the upcoming
Justice League: War film holds secrets for the next wave of DC's animated films. The next films will be making their own version of the New 52, DC's reboot. More at

Stan Lee has announced he won't have a cameo in
Guardians of the Galaxy. This marks the first Marvel film without Stan Lee appearing. More at

The
Captain Underpants animated adaptation now has a cast. Kevin Hart,
Ed Helms, Nick Kroll, Jordan Peele will star in the Rob Letterman
directed flick. More

The upcoming
Fantastic Four film officially has a completed script and is now looking to actors. Rumours are swirling, all unconfirmed, but screenwriter Simon Kinberg's work is done. More at

Gal Gadot has told an Israeli paper that she has signed on for three pictures as Wonder Woman. No word yet on what those movies will be, but a solo film is probably in her future. More at

Peter Coogan and Rob Brydon are releasing a trailer to their 2011 film

Quentin Tarantino's next film has been cancelled following a script leak. In an interview, Tarantino said he is cancelling the project after one of the six people who were given the script gave it away. More at

Amazon is apparently coming after the television industry with renewed vigor. The company has apparently talked to three major media conglomerates about a live TV channel streamed over the internet. More at the

Law & Order alum Jesse L. Martin will play Ed Green, a cop and surrogate father to the young Barry Allen. More at the

Dumb and Dumber To has its first official picture. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are currently filming the sequel to

Bill Cosby has just signed on to star in a new show at NBC. Despite the dismal ratings of
The Michael J. Fox show, NBC has decided to try their hand at giving old stars new shows. More at

Thor: The Dark World's Jaimie Alexander is set to be a series regular in a new HBO show.
Open is "described as a modern, provocative exploration of human sexuality and relationships." More at

In other HBO news, Will Smith, Jay-Z, and Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh are teaming up for a new comedy about the English electronic scene. More at
