The evil Prophecy is collecting all iterations of Superman from across the Multiverse, siphoning their power. It’s a neat idea, resulting in appearances from many Supermen and Superwomen from various timelines and dimensions, including ol’ Bizarro. The interdimensional portal, “The Bleed”, makes an appearance; the universe-connecting membrane first introduced in Wildstorm Comics but ever present in several other books and publications. Other heroes from across the Multiverse won’t take this sitting down and instead hatch a plan to save their colleagues even if it means one of them will need to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason have provided a creative, fun conclusion to the “Multiplicity” story arc. Seeing all the Superfolks tap into a universal wellspring of hope, knowing they can defeat evil was inspiring. “It’s in places like this that hope burns brightest,” one tells another.

It’s an enjoyable book, with goofy, fun moments, like when a big bunny version of Superman flies into action. With so many characters from across the Multiverse, one never knows what to expect - and yet the visual humor and eclectic choices are paired with monumental, life-or-death drama. The high stakes and attractive array of characters make this a can’t-miss story.

Tony S. Daniel’s pencils are rock solid, with art leaping off the page in fine detail. The inks by Sandu Florea and Seth Mann are complementary and well defined. The artists bring a lot of characters to life without the art appearing too busy or convoluted. A lot of care has been applied and it shows.
