Our heroine Kara Zor-EL (Supergirl) goes to high school as her new secret identity Claire Connors! We see Kara get a hair color change and look a lot like Clark Kent (Superman)! Not too original but I guess it works.

Spoiler Warning!
Supergirl starts having flashbacks of how the other Kryptonians teased her back on her home planet as she goes about her life in high school here on Earth. This whole issue has a nice story to it, but remember this is supposed to be a superheroine, and I get that Smallville vibe from this. Don't get me wrong I like Smallville. Supergirl is basically going to high school trying to fit in. Eventually the pranks and sick jokes of the other high-schoolers of Earth become too much and cause Kara to quit with the whole secret identity gig and go back to just being Supergirl!

The layout of the story panels is nice and flowing, there’s also a nice splash page toward the end of the issue.

Comic Craft’s colorings this time around are warmer than before using more bright colors, probably because of the high school setting.

Churchill’s pencils are getting a bit better. So expect pretty much the same good quality as before.

The cover of this issue is more of a representational piece that doesn’t actually take place in the book, but that’s how most comic covers are anyways.

Story – 4 of 10 – Not what I expected! Too much like Smallville.

Pencils – 8 of 10 – I really enjoy the style

Layout – 8 of 10 – Improvement over previous issues layouts

Colors – 7 of 10 – seems like the whole issue is on the same palette

Overall – 6.75 – Overall ok issue, not worth the long wait.

*Unconfirmed
