From Stan Lee – A New Superhero Is Born
From the mind that spawned The Hulk, Spider-Man, The X-Men, The Fantastic Four and a legion of superheroes comes….Lightspeed! On January 9, 2007, Starz Home Entertainment will be unleashing the original Stan Lee creation Lightspeed. Starring Jason Connery (“Smallville”), Nicole Eggert (“Baywatch”), Daniel Goddard (Beastmaster) and Lee Majors (“The Six Million Dollar Man”), Lightspeed is classic Stan Lee – an ordinary person with superpowers accidentally thrust upon them, wrestling with the responsibility of their new gifts while facing a super villain who chooses to use their powers for evil.
First airing on the Sci-Fi Channel in July 2006, Lightspeed begins when agent Daniel Leight discovers that, as a result of a near lethal mishap, he has developed the ability to run at the speed of light. Without warning, Leight acquires a dangerous nemesis in the form of Goddard, who dubs himself “The Python” after a botched experiment transforms him into part man – part snake. Running out of time and at the speed of light, Lightspeed (Leight) must use his newfound ability to thwart The Python in an all-out battle of brawn and bravado.
