It's been over a year since we've seen any significant news concerning Konami's masterpiece game for Playstation 3, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Today, on the show floor, Konami debuted a new trailer for MGS4 that reveals quite a bit of significant information about the game's storyline. It's also the first presentation of the game in English. The trailer, more than six minutes in length, depicts the desperate state of the future as seen through the eyes of an older Solid Snake. The trailer features a variety of returning characters from previous Metal Gear Solid games, including Meryl Silverburgh and Raiden. There's a lot more to it, but we don't want to ruin it for you. What we will say is that David Hayter, Paul Eiding, Qunton Flynn, Phil LaMarr and Pat Zimmerman will all be returning to reprise their roles as many of the game's major characters. To check out the new trailer, you can either go directly to www.konami.com and follow the links to the MGS4 page or check it out at GameTrailers.com. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set to release for Playstation 3 in early 2008.
