The independent comic book publisher Carpet Bomb Comics released the first episode of its weekly serialized adventure series Doctor Immortalis on March 22, 2010. The series follows Dr. Clark Attis, codenamed Immortalis, on his pulpy, satirical sci-fi jaunts into the strange and absurd world of conspiracy theories and paranormal anomalies come to life.

Writer Michael Nelsen describes his titular character as, " ...part James Bond, part Reed Richards, part Doc Savage: A Gentleman Science Adventurer for a new age."

Doctor Immortalis, originally a DC Comics' ZUDA contender, follows the prequel story submitted there which dealt with a Nazi moon base harboring Aryans in suspended animation. In this new story arc, "Axis Mundi," we find the Doctor investigating the disappearances of several ships in the Pacific.

“What Doc finds is anything but expected - A hidden race of unknown terrestrials, ancient computers, intrigue, cover-ups, lies, and weapons built before the dawn of man that threaten the spin of the Earth itself and, consequently, all life on earth,” Michael Nelsen teases.

The weird stories told by Nelsen are made complete by the wonderful artwork of Ruben Rivera. This is a book for fans of Hellboy, BPRD, Robot 13, and Atomic Robo. Check out the FREE weekly webcomic at CarpetBombComics.com today.
