2 Guns stars Bobby Beans a crooked federal agent that is knee deep in with some local mobsters. The book opens up with Mark Sigman, a criminal who approaches Bobby about robbing a bank, and the suprise ending will leave you wanting to read the next issue whether you like it or not.

The title 2 Guns sounds like an action oriented name, but it is more like a crime drama with a little bit of action. A story needs to have some value to it as well, and 2 Guns delivers despite some of it's faults. The writer seems to be going for a gritty feeling. However the art reflects more of a Kill Bill atmosphere, which isn't necessarily a bad thing either.

The writing could use some more validity. Some reader's would like to see the characters depicted more true to life, but it was a bit hard to tell what kind of feeling the story was going for so that may play a part in it. The art is clean and much like a saturday morning cartoon. There seems to be a clash between the art and the writing, although both are quite good it does leave one left with a bit of emptiness.

After reading this first issue I wouldn't mind reading the second one just to see where it takes me. If you like crime drama's and you like comics then you will probably want to check this one out. It is advised that audiences 16 and older are suited for reading this comic book.

It's safe to say that 2 Guns left one in the chamber for you.
